Where did the Tea party movement begin?

Right here in Boston, both in 1773 and again in 2007 where disenfranchised Americans, tired of oppressive government rallied at Faneuil Hall and nation-wide to raise a record breaking $6 million one-day fundraiser "money bomb" for candidate for US President, Congressman Dr. Ron Paul.

By the year 2010, America has seen the rise of the "tea party movement" and almost every candidate is using "money bombs" to raise money. Boston Tea Party 2007 Keynote speaker Rand Paul has gone on to become US senator of Kentucky and Veteran Jim Forsythe has won his bid for NH state Senate.

The tea parties are being pandered to by neo cons and RINO's because this movement is making a difference. Many political pundits have stated that the next political force in our country will be the TEA Party, creating viable third party candidates in the upcoming 2012 election cycle.

As we head into the upcoming presidential campaign race with candidate announcements, the MassLPA has seen it fit to continue the ideological shift back towards the conservative libertarian roots of our Republic by providing a celebration of liberty in the "Cradle of Liberty", Faneuil Hall on December 12^th 2010 at 12:00.

Governor Gary E. Johnson - Gary is a perfect example of American ingenuity and pride. He turned what was a modestly equipped one-man operation into one of New Mexico's largest and most successful construction companies. Utilizing his knowledge of business and free markets, Gary brought fiscal sanity to New Mexico as its two term Governor (1995-2003).

Gary held true to his promise to cut taxes by slashing 10% from the budget and showing the legislature that he's not afraid to use the veto. Peter Schiff - This Connecticut native is president and chief global strategist of Euro Pacific Capital Inc. and ran for U.S. Senate in 2010.  Peter credits the uncanny accuracy of his economic prediction on his thorough understanding of the Austrian School. He is a frequent guest on many cable & network shows and has now expanded his expertise to radio.

Peter Schiff is an accomplished lecturer and author. His 2007 book (Crash Proof) outlines why the United States economic policies are fundamentally unsound and how the dollar will be drastically devalued. He also questions the policies and motives the privately owned Federal Reserve as they continue to manipulate interest rates towards a full collapse of the dollar.

Sheriff Richard Mack (Ret.) - Author & Lecturer

Sheriff Richard Mack (Ret.) - Following his service as Arizona County Sheriff, Richard Mack continued his service to the country by educating other sheriffs on the true power of their positions. Mack gained national attention when he sued the Clinton administration over the unconstitutionality of the "Brady Bill" because it attempted to compel state officers to execute Federal law.

Richard Mack is an Author and frequently lecturers on constitutional issues relating to gun control, law enforcement, States' rights, the farce otherwise known as the drug war, and the oath of office. He was named Elected Official of the Year by the Arizona-New Mexico Coalition of Counties in 1994, received the NRA Law Officer of the Year, inducted into the NRA Hall of Fame, 1995 Cicero Award, Samuel Adams Leadership Award from the Local Sovereignty Coalition, and Gun Owners of America Defender of the Second Amendment Award. www.sheriffmack.com

G Edward Griffin - author of "The Creature from Jekyll Island"

G. Edward Griffin has been a thorn in the side of globalists and those that would trample the Constitution for years. He's an accomplished film producer, author, and political lecturer. Although his book "The Creature from Jekyll Island" stands as the worlds best selling book on the subject of the Federal Reserve, he has also contributed such works as "World without Cancer", "The Capitalist Conspiracy" and "The Fearful Master." In 2002, Griffin went on to found the libertarian activist group "Freedom Force International" which hosts members from across America and the world.

John McManus - President of the John Birch Society

John F. McManus - John joined the staff of The John Birch Society in August 1966, serving originally as a field coordinator for several New England states. In 1968, he was transferred to a position at the Society's national headquarters. In 1973, Mr. McManus accepted appointment by Robert Welch, the Society's Founder, as the organization's Director of Public Affairs and now serves as the group's President. In this post, he became and remains the Society's chief media representative throughout the nation. He has appeared on hundreds of radio and television programs and is one of the Society's few authorized spokesmen.

According to JBS founder Robert Welch, "both the U.S. and Soviet governments are controlled by the same furtive conspiratorial cabal of internationalists, greedy bankers, and corrupt politicians....the traitors inside the U.S. government would betray the country's sovereignty to the United Nations for a collectivist New World Order, managed by a 'one-world socialist government.

John McManus is an accomplished author and lecturer and stands a one of prominent freedom fighters in the nation. Mr. McManus has been an honored guest at several MassLPA events. www.jbs.org

Hal is a U.S. Army veteran, northeast regional director for JBS and the co-founder of the "Constitution Camp" project. He took an active role in stopping the Constitutional Convention in the late 1980's and the call for a Conference of the States in 1995. Hal is also spearheading the current push to rescind all states' calls for a Constitutional Convention. Hal maintains that our governments current cast of characters can't be trusted anywhere near our Constitution.

Hal has proven himself to be a real team player and committed advocate for individual liberty. David R. Gillie  - Rediscovery of the American Civic Religion

David R. Gillie is Director of the Montana-America Institute at Monticello of the Rockies. The Institute supports public servants and citizens currently leading the remarkable renaissance of American Self-Government in Montana, by conducting seminars in the fundamentals of the American Civic Religion and working conferences that explore practical means to protect Montanans' liberty by the exercise of powers constitutionally reserved to the State. Mr. Gillie will address us primarily in the capacity of a thoughtful American, but also on behalf of the Institute and Monticello of the Rockies.

The first American citizen in a family of immigrants, Mr. Gillie is a life-long serious student of our singular Constitutional Order. He is quite possibly the only person in your acquaintance to have committed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of 1787 with its amendments to memory. In a series of lectures in the fundamentals of American Civics, he has endeavored to persuade Federal and State officers across the country to join him in devoting the same earnest attention to the particulars of our fundamental law.

Mr. Gillie has served for 21 years in the United States Navy. He currently commands Navy Reserve Naval Information Operations Command Georgia-Great Lakes. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Regents (now Excelsior) College of Albany, NY, with concentrations in Political Science, German, and Russian. He holds a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College.

The author of a number of classified and unclassified analytical and research publications on American civics, weapons of mass destruction, and military art, he serves as Adjunct Professor of Strategic Intelligence at the National Defense Intelligence College, where he recently taught a graduate course in Science and Technology Intelligence. Mr. Gillie also serves as Principal Systems Integration Engineer with Concurrent Technologies Corporation, a non-profit research and development and technical services organization, where he provides consultation and research for several Department of Defense Agencies.

Mr. Gillie has been married to the former Amy Ellen Polson since December of 1988. Their son, Benjamin Ur Gillie, currently serves as a missionary in Western Idaho.

BILL GUNN - Liberty Candidate for US Representative.

William Gunn - Bill's campaign began with an unprecedented groundswell of grassroots supports gathering a record number of signatures to place him on the ballot. Where other candidates spent months collecting the required number of signatures, Bill's team more than doubled the minimum requirement in less than four weeks.

Campaign momentum continued to grow until he secured more votes than all recent GOP contenders against U.S. Representative John Olver, the entrenched incumbent. Bill is also one of the founding organizers for the Massachusetts 9/12 Project and a former MassLPA coordinator.

Jenn Coffey - Second Amendment Sisters

Jenn Coffey was just elected to another term as New Hampshire's Merrimack County, District 6 Representative and remains one of the leading patriots of the northeast. She's a tireless defender of the Constitution and a true servant to her constituents. Jenn was also one of the featured speakers at this year's "Live Free or Die Rally" in New Hampshire. Adam Kokesh represents the paradigm shift of the new millennial generation.  His daily radio show, Adam VS The Man,  is broadcast on KIVA 1550 AM in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is streamed on the station's website www.1550kiva.com as well as on www.adamvstheman.com.

A former Marine, Adam is a veteran of the Iraq War where he served in Fallujah in 2004.  After his tour of duty, Adam returned to the United States and completed his studies at Claremont McKenna College in California where he earned his BA in psychology.

In February, 2007 Adam became an active member of the Iraq Veterans of the War (IVAW) and participated in several protests throughout the country.  Adam's activism, determination and eloquent speeches at anti-war and political rallies have caught the attention of the national and local media.  More importantly, Adam has earned the respect of  notable veteran and political leaders.

Adam organized a grass roots campaign for the recent Republican U. S. Congressional primary in New Mexico's Third District.  A small army of young supporters canvassed the scenic and large geographic Congressional District.  Although not victorious, Adam garnered the endorsements of Texas Representative Ron Paul, Bruce Fein, the Republican Liberty Congress as well as local leaders and organizations.

Soon after the election, Adam took his voice and calling to the airwaves. The topics he covers on his show are from a voluntarism philosophical perspective to inspirational and motivational. While his energy has a distinct youth appeal, Adam's listening audience has already demonstrated a stunning diversity.

Adam's book about his service in the Iraq War and activism afterwards, Hot, Dirty and Dangerous, is scheduled for release in early 2011.  A national speaking tour is currently being planned to follow the release of the book.

Gary Franchi - Where Aaron Russo left off, Gary Franchi begins. Gary is now the director of "Restore the Republic" and host of the "Reality Report." With an eye on freedom, Liberty and truth, Gary Franchi has established himself as one of the nation's most prominent freedom fighters.

Unlike the main stream media (MSM), Gary isn't afraid to tackle the subjects of Globalization and the impending police state head on. His cutting edge reporting on the Reality Report has gained an enormous viewership and shows no signs of slowing. Jordan Page - liberty songwriter/musician

Jordan is an up and coming star in the Freedom movement, travelling the country, playing at colleges, universities and freedom rallies. Jordan's lyrics carry a weighted message of warning, with a keen insight into the current state of our nation.

Kamal Jain - Candidate for State Auditor

Sean Harrington - Sean provides us with an inspirational example of the spirit and pride that could AND SHOULD thrive in the hearts of all young Americans. He stands as living proof that one person can make a significant difference.

When Sean entered freshman year at Arlington High School, he noticed that the classes had no US flags and they did not recite the pledge. Sean and fellow classmates pushed for three years and finally got flags back in rooms, but it took another year and national attention to pressure the school committee to finally allow the pledge recital back into the School. "If we can't find one teacher who is willing to say the pledge, then the system we have is cracked,"

Larry Lepard - Larry is a big fan of Gold & Silver and an admirer of the sound economic principles of Congressman Ron Paul. Larry joined Geocapital as a General Partner in 1992. Prior to joining the firm, Larry was a Partner at Summit Ventures and was responsible for opening Summit's West Coast office. He also served as Chief Financial Officer of Calay Systems and as an Investment Associate at Continental Illinois Venture Corporation, a subsidiary of Continental Illinois Bank & Trust.

Larry began his business career as a Financial Analyst with the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. He has served on the Boards of Directors of numerous public and private information technology based firms and is presently a Director of several privately held companies. Larry received a B.A. with Honors in Economics from Colgate University and an M.B.A. with Distinction from Harvard Business School.

Steven Epstein - Steve is an attorney and founder of the Massachusetts Cannabis Reform Coalition (Mass Cann). He has served as an officer since their incorporation in 1990.  In 1992, he ran as a Libertarian for the Massachusetts House of Representative.  His letters and opinion essays have appeared in newspapers around the Commonwealth. Steve is well known on Beacon Hill as he has lobbied and testified in committee hearings advocating for common sense marijuana legislation and continues the fight for decriminalization.
