More evidence adding to the argument that we should not elect elitist leftists to executive government positions; that elitist leftists encourage socialism, racism, and re-distribution of wealth to people who've never worked a day.
Law enforcement thrown under the bus:
President Obama's remarks at a news conference Wednesday night, when he linked Gates's arrest to the nation's long history of racial profiling and said "the Cambridge police acted stupidly."
On Thursday, the Cambridge police commissioner, Robert C. Haas, described the department as "deeply pained" by Obama's criticism and said Crowley had followed proper protocol in making the arrest.
"I do not believe his actions were in any way racially motivated," Haas said. "Sergeant Crowley is a stellar member of this department and I rely on his judgment every day. He was thrust into a crime in progress, and he tried to work his way through the situation."
Massachusetts Gov. Deval L. Patrick (D) took the opposite position, describing Gates's experience as "every black man's nightmare."
DannyMac attended the police associations press conference at 12:05 today at the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge, where there was a media swarm. Included were leaders of the Cambridge Police Officers Assoc., police assoc. of surrounding communitises, and the Mass. Municipal Police Assoc.
They said that they all believed that Sgt. Crowley acted appropriately. They are asking for, but not demanding, an apology from both the Governor and the President.
