Mass Committees of Safety meeting
Posted Saturday July 18, 2009 at 1:07 pm by Bob Dwyer (district 4)

First the good news: the MassCoS has over 175 signatures from our petition drive, which will be one of our most valuable tools when lobbying for sound money and state security.

The bad new is that the National CoS has only raised only $1062 in donations of a needed $5,000 to pay for a CoS booth at the NCSL being held in Philadelphia on July 20th – 24th. If you could donate a few bucks to this very important event then we will be taking steps closer to achieving our goals.

Keep in mind that tat he NCSL our state legislators will be lobbied from many powerful special interest groups including including gun control groups, big Pharma and the Medical Industrial Complex. Without an effective outreach to our reps, we will not have a counter attack to the dismantling of our constitutional rights.

Walter Reddy has attempted to get Edwin Vieira a speaking position at this event but to no avail.

Edwin may be willing to attend and help to man the booth if and only if we can raise enough funds to get him there. Please donate what you can... thanks

More good news....Our next state meeting will be held on Tuesday July 21st at 7:00pm at the Endicott Estate in Dedham.

We will be focusing on effective ways to get more signature petitions and organize to train and recruit lobbyists that will join our lobbying campaign on Beacon Hill.

FYI; the MassLPA has been lobbying against the S-2028 Pandemic Preparedness Act (of treason) with 33 individual activists coming to Beacon Hill to lobby against this draconian legislation. We have also been lobbying for Rep Jeff Perry's tenth amendment resolution. This is a great opportunity for us to make a difference by training more and more activists to take the next step towards effective activism.

At our first meeting in May we had 30 people in attendance and only 12 at our second. My guess is that our first meeting did not deliver the galvanizing message of activism or perhaps many are not yet willing to self activate. I understand that this will be a steep hill (mountain) to climb, but all journeys begin with that first step. Please come out to our next meeting and offer your views and support to this cause. Our Republic depends on it.

Thanks and please call me with any questions or suggestions.
