Tracking Demetrius Atsalis
Posted Monday September 7, 2009 at 4:33 am by Solus

Not long ago I wrote Rep. Atsalis regarding a proposal for a State Sovereignty resolution.

I think it's clear to all that our federal government is out of control and it's reach is far exceeding its Constitutional limitations.

I asked Mr. Atsalis to submit a nonbinding 10th amendment (state sovereignty) resolution.

Instead he calls me a knuckle head and sends me pages and pages of directions on how to file a petition and obtain signatures.
He also instructs his office staff to "do what we can do without our support." (emphasis his)
I have no doubt he is vain, egotistical and not the least concerned with constituent issues.

I would recommend everyone to take a close look at Mr. Atsalis to determine if he is the quality of representative we want in the State Senate.

We will have the opportunity to make a significant change in 2010, let's not waste it.

Demetrius Atsalis

I appreciate your support but I don't have the political connections, the money, experience nor the willingness to compromise my principles for the sake of public office.
It takes a special kind of person to dive into a campaign and attempt to be all things to all people.
I'm happily retired and have no desire to engage in the public slug fest that campaigns often devolve into.
I am happy to write my letters to legislators and work from the background toward a more honest and constitutional form of government.

Do you know anyone who may run against him?

Would you run against him? Do you know anyone who would? If you want him replaced, you will have to take the lead. We'll support your efforts.
