Kamal Jain is a Massachusetts native who's been paying taxes since he was 14 years old. He has performed volunteer disaster relief, community activism, and search and rescue work, worked as an emergency medical technician and security guard. Most of his career, however, has been working in high-tech in a variety of roles, predominantly for start-up companies.
As a businessman, he has worked extensively with budgets and the challenges they present.
Kamal has been a political activist since 1996, including past roles as Executive Director and Chairman of the Massachusetts Libertarian Party, more recently as Chairman of the Liberty League PAC and as a spokesperson and analyst for the Committee For Small Government, sponsors of ballot question 1.

The truth is in the numbers
The fact that 40% of more of total state government spending is "off-budget" is a telltale sign that the politicians are hiding something big. In reality, of the $47-49 BILLION spent by the state government each year these days, less that 20% goes to public safety, education and roads combined.
The obvious question I aim to help voters answer is "What is the other 80% going to?"
Beyond that, when people see the numbers and details behind them, the voters themselves can decide what is important and what is not, and what appropriate levels of funding are.
Transparency is the name of the game.

"Open the Books"
I had the pleasure to work with Kamal as a board member of the Liberty League PAC, which was born out of the grassroots during the Ron Paul for President 2008 campaign.
Kamal is a brilliant analyst and has written many articles and commentaries on the State of Massachusetts, specifically the unsustainability of the present “Tax and Spend” socialist system and strongly advocates for transparency on Beacon Hill.
Kamal Jain will be the people’s choice for State Auditor if we can educate the Masses about the waste and the hidden budget. Kamal will “open the books” and provide the needed transparency which will allow for real, effective cuts to our bloated state budget.
I am greatly looking forward to hearing Kamal at the State Convention.
